Last Monday we took one of our Thai friends who works in the city to visit his family for the day. Due to his work schedule he only gets one day off every few weeks and we thought we would drive him for safety reasons. As Rob and I had our map out thinking we were heading to a city about 3 hours away, we were told to turn onto a dirt road. We ended up off-roading for 35 kilometers until we reached this village. There is no actual road in or out and the people rely solely on off-roading up the mountain. The main problem was that it is rainy season and the dirt was now mud!! At one point we even got stuck and were out trying to push the truck up the mountain...obviously that didn't work and the car slid down and then we got to try again! It was absolutely wild and an adventure. When we arrived to the village it was well-worth it when we saw our friend get to spend a day with his wife and two children!

Cows just hanging out in the roads...we had to move them out of the way!

Relieved we made it to the village safe and sound.

Isn't he adorable!!!
